A few months ago while riding to practice, James told me that he wanted to name our album "No Burden". Since neither Aaron or me had any better ideas, we stuck with it, but I told him that we should write a song called "No Burden" and make it the title track of the record. James explained to me what he thought the phrase meant, and I based the lyrics off of the description.
It has almost become a mantra for me, when I get stressed out, or people are being stupid. You just tell yourself "no burden" and realize that you can't allow others to negatively effect your life.
lyrics
Life
there's a funny thing about it
no easy way around it
we're forced to interact
with these people who see no
problem with the way they act
I need to rise above it
I cant put up with bullshit
and i need to look at myself
with as much criticism as everyone else
you'll be no burden on me
ignorance wont be received
and on the day I die
I know right now
I wont regret a single thing
and if you think I'll waste my time on
anything you might say, you are dead wrong
I will live stress free
I made up my mind
you'll be no burden on me
